R2 replacement bus service

Overview

When O-Train Line 2 is not running during regular hours, R2 bus service may operate.

  • R2 buses serve all Line 2 stations.
  • If Line 2 is partially closed, R2 service may run only along the closed portion.

What happens during Line 2 delays or unplanned disruptions?

If rail service is disrupted, technicians will quickly respond. Our aim is to restore train service as quickly as possible.

If the issue is resolved within 15 minutes, train service will resume with only minor delays.

Sometimes, trains can continue to run along a single track. If full train service is not quickly restored, R2 replacement bus service may be deployed. 

Planned Line 2 disruptions

We will notify you in advance of any planned Line 2 maintenance. R2 schedules will be entered in the Travel Planner.

Real-time departure times will also be available:

  • Using the Transit app Transit app logo
  • On our Home page using the Next Departures tool
  • By texting your stop number to 560560
  • By calling 613-560-1000, plus your stop number
