The Empowered@theWheel initiative aims to highlight career opportunities for women at OC Transpo and the positive impact that women working in transit inspire.

OC Transpo is hosting an in-person and virtual Empowered@theWheel information session on Thursday, October 24, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at 1500 St. Laurent Blvd. and online via Microsoft Teams.
EmpoWered@theWheel is an all-female information session, aimed at educating and empowering women in the Ottawa region about Bus Operator roles with OC Transpo. This year there will also be an opportunity to learn about roles with the Special Constables Unit. The session is a closed event for women, and will provide attendees with the information, support, and resources needed to pursue a career in this field.
Women in roles at OC Transpo, such as Trainers, Operators, and Special Constables, will be available to answer any questions and share insight about daily operations and life as a Transit Services employee.
Attendees will learn about a range of benefits, including comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment conducive to personal and professional growth.
