April 26-29 - Highway 174 between Cameron Street and Trim Road - Full Weekend Closure

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 between Cameron Street and Trim Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What:    
Highway 174 westbound and eastbound between Cameron Street and Trim Road.

When:   
Friday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. to Monday, April 29 at 6:00 a.m.

Why:     
Grading, manhole adjustments, ditch excavation and closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections.

Where: 
Highway 174 westbound and eastbound between Cameron Street and Trim Road.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detours

Highway 174 Westbound
Motorists travelling westbound on Highway 174 east of Cameron Street will need to turn left onto Cameron Street and drive south to Old Montreal Road. They will then turn right and travel west to Trim Road. They will then turn right onto Trim Road, travel north, and follow signage to reconnect to Highway 174 westbound.

Highway 174 Eastbound
Motorists travelling eastbound on Highway 174 will need to exit at Trim Road and travel south to Old Montreal Road. They will then turn left and drive east to Cameron Street. They will turn left at Cameron Street and travel north to reconnect to Highway 174 eastbound.

Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
