As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling Highway 174 westbound and eastbound between Cameron Street and Champlain Street should anticipate
mobility impacts.

What:  
Highway 174 westbound between Cameron Street and Champlain Street and Highway 174 eastbound between Trim Road and Cameron Street will be closed while crews work on the Highway. The following ramps will also be closed:

  • Highway 174 westbound off-ramp to Trim Road
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from southbound Trim Road (north of Highway 174)
  • Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp from northbound Trim Road
  • Highway 174 westbound off-ramp to Tenth Line Road.
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Tenth Line Road.
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from southbound Tenth Line Road.
  • Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Champlain Street.
  • Highway 174 westbound off-ramp to Champlain Street.

When: 
Friday, October 24
 between 11:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the following day.

Why:   
Line painting.

Where:
Highway 174 westbound and eastbound from Cameron Street to Champlain Street.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Detours

Motorists travelling westbound and eastbound on Highway 174 as well as motorists north and south of Highway 174 at Champlain Street, Tenth Line Road and Trim Road will use Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard north of the Highway and St. Joseph Boulevard/Old Montreal Road south of the Highway to travel east and west.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount. Thank you for your patience during construction.
