Notice of Multi-Use Pathway Closure along the Kichi Zìbì Mikan between Woodroffe Avenue and Cleary Avenue

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, the multi-use pathway along the Kichi Zìbì Mikan (KZM) between Woodroffe Avenue and Cleary Avenue will be closed for repaving. A pedestrian and cyclist detour will be in place during this work.
What: Long duration MUP closure.
When: Tuesday, June 3 at 6 a.m. until early August. This schedule is subject to change.
Why: Removal of old asphalt, grading work and repaving the MUP.
Where: South side of the KZM between Woodroffe Avenue and Cleary Avenue.
Pedestrian detour
Pedestrians traveling eastbound on the MUP network south of the KZM will proceed south on Woodroffe Avenue until reaching Richmond Road. They will then travel east on Richmond Road until reaching Cleary Avenue.
Pedestrians traveling westbound from Cleary Avenue will proceed west on Richmond Road until reaching Woodroffe Avenue. They will turn right onto Woodroffe Avenue and continue northbound until connecting with the MUP network.
Cyclist detour
Cyclists traveling eastbound on the MUP network south of the KZM will proceed south on Woodroffe Avenue until reaching Byron Avenue. They will then travel east on Byron Avenue until reaching Cleary Avenue.
Cyclists traveling westbound from Cleary Avenue will proceed west on Byron Avenue until reaching Woodroffe Avenue. They will turn right onto Woodroffe Avenue and continue northbound until connecting with the MUP network.
Anticipated Impacts
- Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
