Notice of Overnight Work and Ramp Closures: Highway 417 at Moodie Drive

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists wishing to access Highway 417 from Moodie Drive or exit from eastbound Highway 417 at Moodie Drive should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What: Overnight Highway 417 ramp closures at Moodie Drive.
When: The Highway 417 eastbound off-ramp to Moodie Drive and the Highway 417 on-ramp from southbound Moodie Drive will be closed on Tuesday, July 8 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from northbound Moodie Drive will be closed on Tuesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 9 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Why: Installation of safety fence and barricades.
Where: Highway 417 at Moodie Drive.

Anticipated Impacts
- Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
- Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
Detours
Motorists wishing to access eastbound Highway 417 from southbound Moodie Drive will instead use the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp at Moodie Drive to travel to Eagleson Road. They will exit the highway and turn left onto Eagleson Road. They will then proceed south on Eagleson Road until reaching the Highway 417 eastbound on-ramp.
Motorists wishing to access Moodie Drive from eastbound Highway 417 will exit at Eagleson Road. They will then continue south on Eagleson Road until reaching Robertson Road. They will turn left onto Robertson Road and continue eastbound until reach Moodie Drive.
Motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from northbound Moodie Drive will continue north on Moodie Drive until reaching Carling Avenue. They will then turn left onto Carling Avenue and continue west until reaching Herzberg Road. They will turn left onto Herzberg Road and continue south until reaching March Road where they will turn left and continue south until reaching the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp.
