May 23- May 24: Notice of Road Closure: Richmond Road Between Cleary Avenue and Wavell Avenue

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, work will be completed on a section of Richmond Road between Cleary Avenue and Wavell Avenue related to the construction of the temporary crossover linking motor vehicle traffic from Byron Avenue to Richmond Road.
What:
Full closure of Richmond Road eastbound and westbound between Cleary Avenue and Wavell Avenue. Local access will be maintained for motorists wishing to access properties located on Richmond Road during this closure.
When:
Thursday, May 23 at 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday, May 24.
Why:
Line painting and installation of temporary concrete barriers.
Where:
Richmond Road between Cleary Avenue and Wavell Avenue.
Detour:

Motorists wishing to travel westbound on Richmond Road should travel southbound on Churchill Avenue until reaching Carling Avenue. They will then turn right onto Carling Avenue and proceed westbound until reaching Woodroffe Avenue, where they will turn right on Woodroffe Avenue and continue north until reconnecting with Richmond Road.
Motorists wishing to travel eastbound on Richmond Road should travel southbound on Woodroffe Avenue until reaching Carling Avenue. They will then turn left onto Carling Avenue and proceed eastbound until reaching Churchill Avenue, where they will turn left on Churchill Avenue and continue north until reconnecting with Richmond Road.
Anticipated Impacts:
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
