Due to unexpected underground conditions and previously unknown utility conflicts, the closure of Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road must be extended until mid-December to allow crews to finish deep sanitary sewer installations. When the sanitary sewer work is complete, the road will be paved and opened through the winter. Crews will need to return in the spring to perform the remaining scope of work including electrical work and flatworks. Further closures at this intersection will be required, but they are expected to be short-term. We will work to minimize impacts to traffic as much as possible. We will provide updates on the expected closures when the information becomes available. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete this scope of work.

Residents are advised to expect elevated noise levels throughout the night during this work, which includes the use of hydrovac trucks and rock-breaking equipment. Every effort will be made to ensure the majority of hydrovac and rock-breaking work is completed during the day to reduce noise at night.
