Kids go free!

We're excited to introduce to you one more way we’re making transit more convenient and accessible for all ages.

As of July 1, kids aged 12 and under ride for free on OC Transpo buses, trains and on Para Transpo!

If you’re taking a bus or Para Transpo, simply board without paying a fare.

If you’re taking O-Train Line 1, you can:

  • Enter at the accessible (wide) fare gate with a fare-paying adult like a parent or guardian.
  • Tap through the fare gate with your Child card or school board issued Presto card, if you have one.

No need to reapply for Community pass

Starting September 19, OC Transpo’s Community pass will automatically renew every two years for customers who are signed up. No need to reapply!

Community passes will only expire when a customer reaches the age of 65 or when they are no longer eligible for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).

We’ve been working directly with ODSP on this initiative to reduce steps for customers and improve your experience. Customer eligibility will be confirmed by ODSP and OC Transpo staff annually.

The Community pass offers customers registered for ODSP a reduced price for both single-ride fares and monthly passes. It is valid on all OC Transpo bus routes, the O-Train, and for Para Transpo trips.

Para Transpo users are required to register with Para Transpo but will have temporary approval until their application is approved.

We’ve made 19 additional ticket machines available to customers across the Southeast Transitway and at select stations across the city.
