Services reopening after lockdown

The OC Transpo Customer Service Centre in the Rideau Centre will reopen on Saturday, February 27.

Use these alternatives to purchase your fare:

  • prestocard.ca
  • Ticket machines at O-Train stations
  • Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws and Real Canadian Superstore locations (depending on store hours)

Adjustments to Trim Park & Ride

Starting Tuesday January 26, some parking spaces at the Trim Park & Ride will be temporarily blocked off for Stage 2 work.

Construction work is being done while usage of the Park & Ride is low to ensure that enough spaces will always be available for customers.

Keep your bike safe with the Bikesecure parking program

On January 1, OC Transpo is launching its Bikesecure parking program. This program will provide customers with a reserved parking spot that will protect their bicycles against theft, vandalism and bad weather.

Bikesecure will offer secure bicycle parking at the following stations:

  • Greenboro
  • Strandherd
  • St-Laurent
  • Fallowfield

Customers can register by phone at 613-842-3777.

New way to pay at Rideau Station

Starting February 16, we're introducing a new way to pay your fare at Rideau Station. As a trial, you can tap to pay with your credit card and smartphone mobile wallet at one of the fare gates. Only single-ride Adult fares will be charged at the gate during the trial period, and no transfer will be issued.

Tap to pay with:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay

Presto on Para Transpo

Starting on December 15, Para Transpo customers can now provide their Presto card number to Para Transpo and our system will confirm to the operator that the pass is loaded.

Once you have provided your Presto card number, show your card to the operator for verification when boarding. There will be no need to carry a receipt with you.

Buses return to Rideau St. on December 20

Buses return to Rideau St. on December 20 as the Rideau Street renewal project comes to a close.

Routes 5, 6, 7, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 114, N39, N45, N57, N61, N75, N97, R1, 602 and 624 will go back to their regular routing on Rideau St. Para Transpo service will also return to Rideau Street. STO buses will not return to Rideau Street, and will be staying on their current routing via Mackenzie King Bridge.

The Virtual Line: A better way to “line” up

We are introducing a new way to line up at the OC Transpo Customer Service Centre in the Rideau Centre. Our new Virtual Line allows you to avoid queuing outside the service centre by providing a ticket number that holds your place in a virtual line.

Once you have received a ticket, we suggest you don't go too far from the call screen in case your number comes up!
