Starting September 19, OC Transpo’s Community pass will automatically renew every two years for customers who are signed up. No need to reapply!
Community passes will only expire when a customer reaches the age of 65 or when they are no longer eligible for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).
We’ve been working directly with ODSP on this initiative to reduce steps for customers and improve your experience. Customer eligibility will be confirmed by ODSP and OC Transpo staff annually.
The Community pass offers customers registered for ODSP a reduced price for both single-ride fares and monthly passes. It is valid on all OC Transpo bus routes, the O-Train, and for Para Transpo trips.
Displaced persons and refugees who have arrived in Ottawa are eligible for six months of free travel on OC Transpo.
The transit pass is a smartcard valid on buses, trains, and Para Transpo. The card is valid for six months from the month of issue and is non-renewable. The card is accepted on STO. Para Transpo users are required to register with Para Transpo but will have temporary approval until their application is approved.
The transit passes are distributed by the Catholic Centre for Immigrants (CCI) and local settlement agencies.
